Return To Play Update
Dear Ottawa Gaels, As Ottawa slowly begins to reopen, the Ottawa Gaels are excited to be working on our “Return To Play” protocols for the Mens and Ladies teams. We anticipate being in a position to return to training within the next 30-60 days for the Seniors assuming the Ontario Provincial guidelines do not change. In regards to the youth program, we will provide an update in the late summer to determine the feasibility of a “Return To Play” in the fall for the youth. Is trying something new one of your 2020 resolutions? Join the Ottawa Gaels as we teach you how to play the ultimate ball sport: Gaelic Football! New players are invited to take advantage of this FREE opportunity to learn the skills and rules of Gaelic Football in a co-ed, friendly, and relaxed environment. Join Us For The 2019 Mike Robinson Tournament
The 2019 Mike Robinson Memorial Gaelic Games Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 21st at Twin Elm Rugby Park. Registration for the tournament is now open. Please complete the form below. Our annual memorial tournament honours a wonderful friend of the Gaels and celebrates the excitement of our great sport in a fun, co-ed, family-friendly Gaelic Football tournament that is not too serious and spans the ages from 5 up to 70! As part of the days’ activities there is also a youth tournament for up and coming Gaelic footballers. The Youth portion of our tournament will run from 10am-12pm while Seniors games will play from 12:30-4:30pm. 2019 Spring Thaw 7s Gaelic Football Tournament
The Ottawa Gaels invite you to join us for our annual co-ed recreational indoor Gaelic Football Spring Thaw 7’s Tournament, taking place on Saturday, May 4th at the RA Centre Dome, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, from 12:30pm until 3:30pm. Registration cost is $15 per player. Fee will be collected on the day at the registration table. After the games wrap up, we’ll head over into the RA Centre to enjoy a drink and some craic. Senior Registration Now Open for 2019 Season
As the Ottawa Gaels prepare for another summer season of Gaelic Football, new and long-time Men’s and Ladies members alike are encouraged to sign up for membership as soon as possible. Early bird Full Membership for the 2019 season is now available at a cost of $175. We will also be offering a non-player membership at a cost of $35. Register before March 17th and you will be entered into a draw for GAA swag! Registration closes April 15th. Members should note that in order to play in the Montreal tournament on May 19th, their membership must be paid. We also require athletes to fill out and return a waiver form. Ottawa Gaels Ladies and Men teams participate in 2018 ECGAA Championships
On Saturday, September 1st over the Labour Day Weekend our Senior mens and ladies teams traveled to Prince Edward Island for the 2018 ECGAA Championships and completed a very successful showing.
