Ladies – Tuesday nights 9:30-10:30 Fonderie
Men’s – Tuesday nights 9:00-10:00 Fonderie
Co-ed – Saturdays, PETES – Workout sessions on Saturday mornings, from 10:30-12:00pm at PETES, January 14-Apr 21. Similar to last year, we will do drills, stations, burpees (oh yes!), sprints, and indoor games with a gaelic twist. Fee is a $2 donation for the PETES food program in lieu of gym rental. Come one, come all. Open to everyone!

Men’s soccer training Sat nights 7-8pm at La Fonderie. Send an email to mensfootball@ottawagaels.ca to sign up.

2017 Annual General Meeting – October 29th

The Ottawa Gaels invite you to join us for the 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM), taking place on October 29th. This year’s AGM will be held at the Heart & Crown in the Byward Market, from 1-3pm. Our AGM gives our members and supporters an opportunity to hear from our board about the association’s performance and achievements over the past year. Join us as we review the year’s highlights and select our executive committee for the coming year. As we approach our Annual General Meeting, we are also seeking volunteers to fill key positions. We have several volunteer positions open for the coming year. If you are interested in getting involved but don’t want to take on an official role you can be on a committee or just offer a few hours of time at any time during the year (for example when we need extra help with Registration in spring). All and any help is appreciated. By getting involved, you’ll be a part of a thriving sporting and cultural community-based organization in Ottawa and play a vital role in building our club. Save The Date! Our 2017 Awards Banquet is Saturday, November 25th

The Ottawa Gaels invite you to our year end banquet, happening on Saturday, November 25th at The Heart and Crown Byward Market. After another successful season we will be kicking off our cleats and handing out hardware for the Men’s and Women’s MVP, Most Improved, and Most Sporting players as well as awards for the club supporter of the year and club person of the year. Join us for a fun night that includes dinner, awards, live music, dance-offs and prizes. Please note, we are selling advance tickets only. 2017 Mike Robinson Tournament – Sept 23

This year’s Mike Robinson Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 23rd. Our annual memorial tournament honours a wonderful friend of the Gaels and celebrates the excitement of our great sport in a fun, co-ed, family-friendly Gaelic Football tournament that is not too serious and spans the ages from 14 up to 70! As part of the days’ activities there is also a youth tournament for up and coming Gaelic footballers. The Youth portion of our tournament will run from 10am-12pm while Seniors games will play from 11am-4pm. GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail to visit Ottawa

The Ottawa Gaels are thrilled to announce that GAA President, Aogán Ó Fearghail will be visiting Ottawa Wednesday and Thursday, August 2nd and 3rd. This is an historic first visit of a GAA President to Ottawa and provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase our Ladies, Men’s and Youth programs! We invite all members past and present, young and old to join us for a showcase of the Ottawa Gaels, Wednesday, August 2nd at Stephen Leacock school in Kanata, from 6:30-8:00pm. The Ottawa Gaels at 2017 Almonte Celtfest

The Ottawa Gaels are returning to Almonte Celtfest on Saturday, July 8th. We will be hosting Gaelic Football youth games, a skills competition, and a football demo for parents. Be sure to stick around to watch the Ottawa Gaels ladies and men’s teams compete in exhibition play. Celtfest is a fun weekend of Ottawa Valley and Celtic entertainment, performed in the natural amphitheater of Gemmill Park in the heart of Almonte. It is a time to share the historical Celtic traditions with today’s local performers. Celtfest also presents a select group of unique artisans and vendors of specialty goods with a Celtic flair. 2017 Pig Roast Extravaganza

The summer tradition returns! We’re hosting our fourth annual pig roast extravaganza on Saturday, July 15th, at 4PM. Celebrate summer and spend time with your teammates, friends and their families. Cold Beer, wine, pop, juice, salads, hot dogs and desserts will be served. Tickets will cost $25 for adults and $5 for children (after July 8th tickets are $30/adult). Gaelic Football Summer Camp Dates and Information

The Ottawa Gaels will once again be running a series of summer day camps for kids ages 6-12 in July. Campers who register will learn the basics of Gaelic Football through our FUNdamental Skill Development Program with mini games and daily competitions. Interactive instruction will be provided by experienced coaches from Ireland in a well supervised, high coach-to-player ratio environment. When not on the pitch, campers enjoy other activities including a daily swim at the local municipal pool and co-operative outdoor games, all while learning about Irish culture through the coaches and guest instructors. Campers bring their own lunch. Snacks are provided. Email youthfootball@ottawagaels.ca with further inquiries. Ottawa Gaels Golf Tournament Fundraiser – June 10

The Ottawa Gaels invite you to our annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser to benefit our Youth Development Program. This year’s Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at Loch March Golf Club in Kanata. A player package that includes 18 holes of golf, a power cart, BBQ lunch and a Roast beef dinner with all the trimmings is available for $150 per player. A dinner only option is also available at a cost of $35. We’ll also be holding a Hole in One contest, Longest Drive contest and a Closest to Pin contest, in addition to giving away raffle prizes. New Pub Trivia Night – March 31st, 2017

Join us for another trivia night on Friday, March 31st! In 2001, Julia Roberts won the Oscar for best actress. Who were the other nominees? If these trivial facts are bouncing around in your grey matter, then the Ottawa Gaels have got a night for you! We’re hosting a pub quiz night at The Glen Scottish Pub, in Stittsville on Friday, March 31st at 8:30 PM.
