We are very excited to announce that the Ottawa Gaels have planned a Club Day, in Almonte, on August 28th! Our Club Day aims to build camaraderie amongst our youth and senior players, and allow our new players to get game experience in a fun and constructive environment. Whether you’ve been playing for years, are brand new, or have been a lifelong supporter or friend of the club and want to try your hand (or foot) at it, all are welcome to join us for some development workshops, skills challenges, and games! Are you curious to try out a new sport? Join the Ottawa Gaels Youth for their weekly Camogie/Hurling and Gaelic Football training in Almonte! Gaelic football is a fast-paced, dynamic field sport that combines the skills of soccer, basketball and volleyball. Camogie/Hurling is a fast-paced field sport that features skills similar to those of Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Ringette, Baseball, or even Softball. Join our Youth program’s weekly training, Wednesdays and Thursdays, for ages 9-14. For ages 15+, please see our Senior trainings. Grab your bottle of water and get ready for sessions focusing on skill development, drills, small game scenarios and scrimmages, but most of all, FUN! Soccer cleats are encouraged but not mandatory. Want to try out new sports? Gaelic football is a fast-paced, dynamic field sport that combines the skills of soccer, basketball and volleyball. We would invite you to review the updated Return to Gaelic Games Guidelines in English or French in advance of any Return to Play as it is a comprehensive COVID-19 Response as to how the CGAA clubs should be proceeding with training in the near future.
