Youth Registration 2018

The Ottawa Gaels run a spring and summer youth program in Kanata, Riverside South, Ottawa West. and Almonte. This program presents a great opportunity for your kids to bring out their friends to give the sport a try. The 2018 Youth Program kicks off in April with five weeks of indoor sessions followed by six weeks of outdoor sessions in May and June.

After last year’s great success, we will once again run a Friday evening House League in Kanata, beginning in late May.  As well, we will be running  Saturday morning Go Games in the Fall, for 8 weeks. We are hosting two Youth Tournaments on Saturday, July 7th and Saturday September 29th.

We will again be taking teams to the 12th annual Continental Youth Championship tournament in Boston August 1st to 5th.

Youth Programming for 2018:


Have A Ball-Games 4 All:  Multi-sport based,  age specific
Dates: Sundays – April, 15, 22  May 6, 13, 20 (5 weeks)
Time: 8-9am (Ages 5-9), 9-10am (Ages 10-15)
Location: Bell Sensplex


Let them Play:  Small sided games for Gaelic football & other GAA codes, age specific, game sense orientated 
Dates: May 22 – June 28    Weekly Evenings Outdoor Programs for 4 different regions ( 6 weeks)

Ottawa West: Tuesdays,  May 22 – June 26  (6 weeks) 
Time: 6:30-8pm
Location:St Paul’s High School, 2675 Draper Ave, Ottawa, ON K2H 7A1
Kanata: Wednesdays,  May 23 – June 27  (6 weeks) 
Time: 6:30-8pm
Location:  Stephen Leacock Elementary School
Riverside South: Thursdays,  May 24 – June 28 (6 weeks)

Almonte After-School Program: TBA

House League Fridays:  Competitive matches within a Go-Game structure

Dates: Fridays, May 25th-July 27th  ( 10 weeks)
Time: 6:30-8pm


Fun-time Fall Go-Games for all:  Saturday morning fun games and small sided matches for all ages
Dates: Saturdays, Sept 8th – Oct 27th (8 weeks)
Time: 10:30am-12pm

Try It!

For any kids new to Gaelic Football join us for a free, no obligation “try it” session. Your first session will be free no matter when you start the program so your kids can try it out before committing to a full registration.


All registered participants in the regular season program will receive an Ottawa Gaels t-shirt. Register by March 16th to be guaranteed a shirt at the start of the program.

All new club members registered in the regular season program with receive a training ball.

Waiver & Media Release Form
