Schools Program

The Ottawa Gaels are currently scheduling our school-based Gaelic Football Fitness and Games sessions throughout the school year. We would be delighted to continue to work with interested schools and teachers. Due to last year’s high demand and the addition of Gaelic Football to the OCDSB and OCSB physical education module selections, our plans this year now include having full time coaches available to provide training sessions for youth and teachers within schools, as well as resource packs and supplementary teacher-training sessions.

We encourage you to incorporate our beloved sport into your Phys-Ed programs and we are pleased to offer a comprehensive schools package which includes:

  • A full day (6 hours) with a GAA Level 1 Certified Coach with 10+ years of experience coaching in schools and youth programs
  • All equipment provided by the Ottawa Gaels for use during sessions
  • Delivery of fundamental Gaelic Football skills through fun and dynamic exercises and games
  • Comprehensive Teacher Resource Pack
  • Invitation for a free teacher training course with the Ottawa Gaels certified Coaching staff
  • Two gift certificates for free Youth Program registration with the Ottawa Gaels for the 2016 season (Regions: Kanata, Almonte, Ottawa West, Riverside South)
