Dear Ottawa Gaels, As Ottawa slowly begins to reopen, the Ottawa Gaels are excited to be working on our “Return To Play” protocols for the Mens and Ladies teams! We are pleased to announce that we will be returning to training from August 13, 2020 to September 24, 2020 at the Notre Dame High School field (710 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa) assuming the Ontario Provincial guidelines do not change. In regards to the youth program, we will provide an update in the late summer to determine the feasibility of a “Return To Play” in the fall for the youth. This educational program will be presented by the Ottawa Sports Council and we strongly encourage all our coaches, parents & senior players to attend. Dear Ottawa Gaels, We have now been living with the COVID-19 restrictions for over a month, and I hope that you are adjusting to our “new normal” as best you can.  I appreciate that it is a difficult adjustment to make for many not only due to the financial hardships you may be suffering but also learning to cope with the isolation of having to be away from family and friends.  It is a challenging time but remember we are all in this together and more than ever it is important to remain unified as a Club. Dear Ottawa Gaels, The GAA has announced the immediate suspension of all GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association activities at the club, inter-county and education levels to the end of March. It reads: “In light of this morning’s Government announcement, the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association have decided to suspend all activity at club, county and educational levels until March 29 (inclusive) from midnight, This is to include all games, training and team gatherings at all ages and all grades. We will continue to liaise with Government officials and review the situation between now and the end of the month, assessing the impact of these measures on our competitions.
