The Ottawa Gaels founding father and successful Ottawa businessman Pat Kelly, from Co. Galway, Ireland was presented with the inaugural Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad in the category of Arts, Culture and Sport on November 15th, 2012, . In addition to being one of the founders of the Ottawa Gaels, Pat has been deeply involved in the Ottawa Irish Society and most every event or project of impact in the local Irish community.
