Dear Ottawa Gaels, As Ottawa slowly begins to reopen, the Ottawa Gaels are excited to be working on our “Return To Play” protocols for the Mens and Ladies teams. We anticipate being in a position to return to training within the next 30-60 days for the Seniors assuming the Ontario Provincial guidelines do not change. In regards to the youth program, we will provide an update in the late summer to determine the feasibility of a “Return To Play” in the fall for the youth. The 2019 Mike Robinson Memorial Gaelic Games Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 21st at Twin Elm Rugby Park. Registration for the tournament is now open. Our annual memorial tournament honours a wonderful friend of the Gaels and celebrates the excitement of our great sport in a fun, co-ed, family-friendly Gaelic Football tournament that is not too serious and spans the ages from 5 up to 70! As part of the days’ activities there is also a youth tournament for up and coming Gaelic footballers. The Youth portion of our tournament will run from 10am-12pm while Seniors games will play from 12:30-4:30pm. The Ottawa Gaels invite you to join us for our annual co-ed recreational indoor Gaelic Football Spring Thaw 7’s Tournament, taking place on Saturday, May 4th at the RA Centre Dome, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, from 12:30pm until 3:30pm.
