The Ottawa Gaels invite you to our year end banquet, happening on Saturday, November 25th at The Heart and Crown Byward Market. After another successful season we will be kicking off our cleats and handing out hardware for the Men’s and Women’s MVP, Most Improved, and Most Sporting players as well as awards for the club supporter of the year and club person of the year. 2017 Mike Robinson Tournament – Sept 23
This year’s Mike Robinson Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 23rd. Our annual memorial tournament honours a wonderful friend of the Gaels and celebrates the excitement of our great sport in a fun, co-ed, family-friendly Gaelic Football tournament that is not too serious and spans the ages from 14 up to 70! As part of the days’ activities there is also a youth tournament for up and coming Gaelic footballers. This is an historic first visit of a GAA President to Ottawa and provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase our Ladies, Men’s and Youth programs! The Ottawa Gaels at 2017 Almonte Celtfest
The Ottawa Gaels are returning to Almonte Celtfest on Saturday, July 8th. We will be hosting Gaelic Football youth games, a skills competition, and a football demo for parents. Be sure to stick around to watch the Ottawa Gaels ladies and men’s teams compete in exhibition play. Celtfest is a fun weekend of Ottawa Valley and Celtic entertainment, performed in the natural amphitheater of Gemmill Park in the heart of Almonte. The summer tradition returns! We’re hosting our fourth annual pig roast extravaganza on Saturday, July 15th, at 4PM. Celebrate summer and spend time with your teammates, friends and their families. Gaelic Football Summer Camp Dates and Information
The Ottawa Gaels will once again be running a series of summer day camps for kids ages 6-12 in July. Campers who register will learn the basics of Gaelic Football through our FUNdamental Skill Development Program with mini games and daily competitions. Interactive instruction will be provided by experienced coaches from Ireland in a well supervised, high coach-to-player ratio environment. When not on the pitch, campers enjoy other activities including a daily swim at the local municipal pool and co-operative outdoor games, all while learning about Irish culture through the coaches and guest instructors.
