Announcing the first annual Jarlath Connaughton Memorial Bursary
The Ottawa Gaels GAA are pleased announce the first annual Jarlath Connaughton Memorial Bursary starting in February 2023. The application form opens February 15th and submission deadline is May 15th, 2023. The Ottawa Gaels GAA will award an annual $500 bursary to a student entering or in full-time post-secondary studies who best exemplifies the attributes, and demonstrates the legacy, of late Club member, Jarlath (“JC”) Connaughton. Jarlath was a beloved and contributing member of the Ottawa Gaels GAA and greater CGAA community. Sadly, he passed away in 2021. Joining the Club in 1999, Jarlath was a treasured Ottawa Gaels member and a dedicated volunteer for over 20 years. The Ottawa Gaels are delighted to host our first Spaghetti Dinner in 4 years! We’re very excited to gather once again in the Kildare Room at St. Brigid’s for a hearty meal, live music, and a good catch up with friends. Come on down for a good meal, with good friends. We’ll also be raffling off our Ottawa Gaels GAA apparel. Expect to see some of our local musicians up on the stage for a session as well!
