This year’s Mike Robinson Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 23rd. Our annual memorial tournament honours a wonderful friend of the Gaels and celebrates the excitement of our great sport in a fun, co-ed, family-friendly Gaelic Football tournament that is not too serious and spans the ages from 14 up to 70! As part of the days’ activities there is also a youth tournament for up and coming Gaelic footballers. The Youth portion of our tournament will run from 10am-12pm while Seniors games will play from 11am-4pm. The Ottawa Gaels are thrilled to announce that GAA President, Aogán Ó Fearghail will be visiting Ottawa Wednesday and Thursday, August 2nd and 3rd. This is an historic first visit of a GAA President to Ottawa and provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase our Ladies, Men’s and Youth programs! The Ottawa Gaels are returning to Almonte Celtfest on Saturday, July 8th. We will be hosting Gaelic Football youth games, a skills competition, and a football demo for parents. Be sure to stick around to watch the Ottawa Gaels ladies and men’s teams compete in exhibition play. Celtfest is a fun weekend of Ottawa Valley and Celtic entertainment, performed in the natural amphitheater of Gemmill Park in the heart of Almonte. The summer tradition returns! We’re hosting our fourth annual pig roast extravaganza on Saturday, July 15th, at 4PM. Celebrate summer and spend time with your teammates, friends and their families.
