Coaches Foundation Course – November 27th
The Ottawa Gaels will be running a Gaelic Football coaching course on Sunday, November 27th, from 8am to 3:30pm at the Rideauview Community Centre.
Many of you are already coaching our young athletes and this course will further strengthen your coaching resources.
The Gaels want to encourage more seniors to get the training and join us on the field, as the feedback our club has received form the parents and the kids is that the youth really look up to us (especially the girls!) and are excited to be coached by senior players, who they see as role models.

The Foundation Award is a theory and practical course so you are asked to bring gym clothes and sneakers. The Gaels will also provide you with some online prep work prior to the course.
You will also need to provide a Police check – Vulnerable Sector, which is a standard requirement for all sporting organizations. If you do not already have a police check, the Ottawa Gaels will provide you with a volunteer letter so that your police check is free. You are still able to take the course, but our club cannot certify any coaches until we receive this police check.
